Where Have You Been All My Life?

Hey My Lovelies,

So I've just discovered Gu and I'm in love! Okay, I didn't "just" discover Gu, I've seen it on the shelves, but it always looked too pricey for me. It was down from £3.59 to £2.50... so I thought why not. I got the lemon cheesecake... To be honest, I was more attracted by the packaging than the dessert itself. It's pretty cool and different, I like how it's not your typical dessert packaging. The dessert itself came in a cute glass jar, which means I didn't have to dirty a plate!

This is absolutely yummy! It was creamy, the biscuit base was thick and crunchy, which is important to me when it comes to cheesecakes. This is just delicious.  If you're late like me in trying this, you need to hurry down to your local supermarket and grab a box! Let me know if you like or if there are any other desserts you'd recommend.

Dinner on the River

On Saturday, we went to the Shard and for a Thames River cruise. Elliot found a great deal on Virgin Experience Days.

The view of London from the Shard was spectacular, it's brilliant how you can see so much. The only thing I would say is if you got the money, go there for dinner as having a look at the view does not last very long.

After the Shard, we made our way over to Westminster Pier for the Thames River cruise.
I have a bit of a fear of being in water, so I was a little nervous about going on a boat on the Thames... Titanic kept replaying in my mind. But to be honest, once I got over my fear, I really loved the cruise.

When we boarded, our starters and champagne was already waiting on our table. The food was good. I enjoyed my starter and dessert the most. For a starter we had salmon and prawns. The main was very basic, chicken, mushroom sauce and baby potatoes. But is was still very nice. My favourite was the dessert (which I enjoyed so much, I forgot to take a picture of it... silly me!). It was a chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis. Yum!

The entertainment was fantastic. A lady sang a few love songs and popular musical numbers. At one point everyone even got up and had a bit of a dance, the atmosphere was very lively.

I Love My Tees!

Hey My Lovelies

I used to be a sucker for printed t-shirts, but after moving and having a clear out, I don't really have many printed tees left. But luckily, I found these cute tops in Primark! Love 'em!

My favourite one is the Sesame Street tee, I love the comic book concept and colours.

Birthdays & Dancing Shoes

I spotted these fabulous boots in New Look and wore them out to my friend Daisy's birthday last Friday. I love shoes, I mean what girl doesn't right? My line has always been "Beauty is Pain" whilst soaking those bleeding blisters in the bathtub. So I was so happy when I found these lovely wedges, which aren't only super sexy, but also very very comfy! And everyone who knows me, knows I love a good boogie!

We went to a bar in Canary Wharf called Smollensky's and had such a fab time. It was great to see Daisy enjoying her day.

I'm wearing my fav "Go to" lipstick. It goes on smoothly, feels so soft and stays on for ages.

What's in My Bag?

Hey my lovelies,

I've seen many bloggers do the "What's in My Bag?" post and it has always been very interesting to see what little things they keep in the dark depth. I really believe that you can tell a lot from a girl by what she keeps in her bag. With me, I'm  a "Chuck-it-all-in-and-go" type of girl, I have no order, which is probably why I forget so many things... usually my keys. So here is what is in my bag today....

My bag is from Accessorize. I had my eyes on it for ages and finally, when my last oversized brown bag broke, I got this one. I've never looked back, it's huge and fits all the essentials!

In my bag:
Kindle Fire HD - I'm currently reading a book called Gray Justice by Alan McDermott
Waitrose Receipt - I go there before work and get a chocolate torsade for breakfast (naughty, I know)
Mini Compact Mirror from Accessorize
Umbrella from Primark
Keys (Yes, I remembered them today)
Glasses Case
Ipod Shuffle & Charger
Earphones
Wrigley's Extra Chewing Gum
Pink Card Case from Paperchase
2 Vaselines (for some strange reason)
Smashbox Lipstick - "Fig" (This is my default lipstick and it is always in my bag)
Bodyshop Lipstick - "Colour Crush" (This is the lipstick I chose to wear today)
Cocoa Butter Hand Cream
Iphone Charger (My iPhone would usually be in my bag, but I'm using it to take pics)
A pen (You never know...)
1 random hair pin
Loose change

Valentine Surprise

I took a last minute trip to Andover this weekend to surprise Elliot, who had to work during Valentine's Day. It was really nice and completely spontaneous to get away for the weekend. Elliot picked me up from the train station and we went to the cinema to watch The Lego Movie... Highly recommend it, it is very funny.

After the cinema,  we went to the Chestnut Tree for an evening meal. I had traditional fish and chips, which was yummy.

Sunday, we stayed in watching How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family. We went out for a pub lunch and then to Caffe Nero before I had to catch my train back to London. Usually I'm a Costa or Starbucks kinda girl, but their hot chocolate is currently the best I've ever tasted.

 Train journey back to London...

Mae Ping

I’ve done lots of food/restaurant posts I’ve noticed, so here’s another one to add to the pile :) I will be doing some fashion posts soon. Between work and more work, I just haven’t found the time to play dress up and take pictures... but I promise I will very soon!!
Valentine’s Day usually means watching a film and ordering a takeout... but we decided we’d go out this year. We celebrated V’day early because Elliot will be working. We went to a local Thai restaurant last week in South Croydon called "Mae Ping".

We had a selection of starters which were very tasty. For my main, I had "Kaeng Kua Ped", which was duck in red curry sauce, Thai sweet basil, cherry tomatoes and pineapple chunks. The duck was tender and delicious (especially with the sauce). I never used to be a fan of duck, but now I love it.

Elliot had "Jarn Lon Talay", which came out sizzling on a hot plate. It was a variety of seafood with lemongrass, Thai herbs and white wine. I had managed to steal a prawn from him whilst his head was turned and it was very yummy... Go for this if you love spicy food.

The service was very quick and the waiter and waitress that served us were very friendly. After the restaurant, Elliot and I went to a old pub next door for a chat before heading home.

New Addition

Hello my lovelies, 2014 is a great year to start my blog. I have many exciting goals for this year and I am determine to meet them all. I plan on going on holiday this year (something I haven't done for a while), I also plan on buying my first flat and I'm offically an first time aunty as of 28 January 2014, so I plan on spending lots of time spoiling my new neice. Say Hello to Sienna!
We did not know whether Sienna was going to be a girl or boy, so most of her clothes are white at the moment. I found this cute and very soft baby onesie online - A website called JoJo Maman Bebe for £13.. down from £26. It doesn't fit Sienna just yet, but she'll grow into it. I can't wait to start buying her some pink girly outfits.

This "Mommy's Little Star" bib is from Ebay, I thought it was the cutest thing... I'll link where I got it below.
